Tell Me Lies, Tell Me Sweet Little Lies

Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive.  Remember that line?  Seems like there are all sorts of people in my midst who never learned the moral of that story.  Perhaps more of them should re-watch Pinocchio and aspire to "be a real boy".  And for the record-- there are no white lies, exaggerations are lies, omitting pieces of truth to a story or situation is a lie, hiding the truth is a lie, betrayal of a persons trust and confidence is a lie.... the list can go on and on.

I have told lies in my past.  I also HATE that part of my past.  I generally got caught and was in trouble for it.  I finally got to a point that if I'm going to get in trouble anyway-- I may as well just get the truth out and get it over with. Now I am at the point, personally, that I am almost too honest.

Here's the funny thing about deception-- it absolutely kills trust.  It kills relationships between friends, siblings, marriages, parent/child relationships, etc.  Each and every lie you get caught in defeats the apology that was given for the time before.   I forgive a person who apologizes, but when I am lied to repeatedly-- it gets very hard to forgive and forget.  Being lied to and betrayed insults my intelligence.  Why not just look at me and say, "You are too stupid to ever find out the truth."?

If you are going to be involved in my life at all-- do not betray me, do not lie to me, and do not apologize if you have no intentions of changing.  It may take some time, but I WILL ALWAYS learn the truth.  When I start to pull away, and you wonder why-- think back to all the deceptions and betrayals, the little white lies and then assume I have learned the truth.

Right now may be a good time to confess to anyone you have lied to or betrayed.  They probably already know, but if you go to them about it, there may be hope to salvage whatever relationship you damaged.

This is a joke--- RIGHT?

Been a little bewildered for many hours tonight and having a difficult time putting together the words to write this blog.  The cause of my confusion?  An invitation to a baby shower.

Only, the invitation was not for me--it was for my 9 year old daughter to attend the baby shower of her friends 14 year old sister.

This has to be a joke.

I realize that we all make mistakes and some we may later regret.  But I have a very (VERY) hard time entertaining the thought of my daughter joining in festivities to celebrate the pregnancy of a girl who is only 4 1/2 years older than she is.  Is this something that should really be celebrated?  I am starting to wonder if I should also be on the lookout for the MTV van and filming crew for "Teen Mom"-- just in case the parents thought that would be a brilliant idea.

Am I the only person who thinks that this is wrong on so many different levels?

Instead of kicking the dead horse....

Just walk away from it.

(This song sums up my past 2 days beautifully.)

I have to walk away again.  My father informed me today that he is 62 years old-- he is NOT going to change.   I have decided that he is the same person he was 23 years ago when I cut ties the first time.  The only thing that is different now is that I am 36-- not 13.  I feel sorry for him.  To hold on to that much bitterness, hate and anger for all these years.  He trusts no one and is paranoid to the nth degree.  No wonder his health is failing at a rapid rate. In his eyes I am not the daughter who forgave and was willing to give a second chance.  Instead, I am and will always be the daughter who walked away and betrayed him.  Sorry but I have bigger fish to fry (like the vampire squirrels and rabid sheep) other than trying to prove myself to someone who made up their mind up about me yeeeears ago.

Like the saying goes, "Never make someone a priority in your life, when you are just an option in theirs".

So what do I do now?  I gently put down the ticking time bomb, back up about 3 or 4 steps, turn and run away-- screaming like a mad woman.

For the record, there has been no evidence lately of the Cullen's moving in across the street.

No really.. I'm fine

I realize that it seems like a lifetime since I actually blogged something.  It apparently has been so long that I am shocked that my brain (in its current state) had the ability to pull my password from out of the depths of my sub-conscious mind so that I could even log on here.

No, I was not attacked by vicious vampire squirrels or rabid sheep.  Thankfully, I have enough garlic to ward off an Italian and the neighbors dogs ward off the sheep.

Now for the purpose of my unexpected return. I know some of you have been worried about me and I appreciate your concern.  I am not okay right now-- but I will be.  There are a few factors playing into this.  First, it has been rainy and overcast here for what seems to be an eternity.  Seriously, I think the Cullens may have moved in across the street and claimed squatters rights.  If they have-- that's fantastic.  That means that werewolves will show up, and they can help ward off the rabid sheep.  And of course, my whole life has been turned upside down and slammed on top of me over the past two weeks.

I am not posting any of this because I want pity, sympathy, etc.  I am simply saying, I need to be in my head.  It doesn't require me to talk much, or express much emotion.  As scary as what it can be sometimes, it is the only place I can go to be honest with myself, sort through crap, throw out the garbage and keep the good.  It's also the only place I can do this without having to pay my shrink twice a week to do it in her office.

One more thing-- please, no phone calls right now.  I really don't feel much like talking about this stuff.  It is my own personal private hell.  If you do call, and I don't answer-- do not be upset or offended.  Yes, I am avoiding.  But only for a short while.  I will call back when I am up to it.

So... that's all for now.  I will let ya know if I see any sparkling from across the street.

Should "Stick Figures" Get A Life?

Yesterday, an article from Marie Claire Magazine was brought to my attention.  The focus of the article was the new CBS show "Mike and Molly" and whether or not the writer found it offensive for people who are overweight to make out on TV.   Her answer??
"Yes, I think I'd be grossed out if I had to watch two characters with rolls and rolls of fat kissing each other ... because I'd be grossed out if I had to watch them doing anything"
One of my personal favorite lines is,
" Now, don't go getting the wrong impression: I have a few friends who could be called plump. I'm not some size-ist jerk."

Really?  And I bet your best friend is black, too.  (eye roll)

She went on giving advise to overweight people on how to lose weight:  Eat right, exercise, stand walk, see a nutritionist, visit your local YMCA, etc.  Make up our minds, sweetie.  I thought it would gross you out to see us do anything?  Would that not include us (and our rolls and rolls) on the treadmill or exercise bike next to you, sweating our asses off?  Let's face it, we fat people can sweat like nobody's business.

At what point do YOU think a person is overweight?  Let's face it, Hollywood's standards and definition of overweight changes all the time.  Marilyn Monroe, considered one of the most beautiful women ever, was a size 14/16. Jean Harlow, a sex symbol of her time, was a size 12. Compared to Angelina Jolie (who is a size 6) poor Marilyn and Jean would be considered "fatties" nowadays.

I don't understand why the show "Mike and Molly" is just now stirring up this controversy.  I don't remember any of this being a problem when the TV show "Roseanne" was on air.

Remember them?  They actually kissed each other, hugged, made goofy inuendo's, flirted and found each other sexy!!! Oh, and don't forget-- they devoted almost an entire season to Dan and Roseanne trying desperately to have another baby.  =O  THE NERVE!!!  I loved this show, it was REAL.

The fact of the matter is-- Overweight people are just as deserving of love and affection from others. Furthermore, we are deserving of wearing the same clothing styles as the skinny little bitches who so glumly look down their nose at us.  Quit getting prejudiced advice from movies and magazines about how you should feel beautiful.  Have you ever seen some of the people who are dishing out this crap?  Eeek Gads!

I don't know, maybe this writer is jilted because her insanely hot boyfriend dumped her for an obese woman who had a better attitude.  Then again, I just read  her bio which states--
"Though she's in her thirties, she's never been in love before - and has started to wonder if she ever will be. She's decided she has to start making dating her job if it's ever going to happen. Hence, this blog."
(Guess what Maura!!! You probably didn't help your dating issue with that glowing personality)

I have said it before-- Happiness should come from within yourself, not from outside sources. And certainly not from magazine writers who are so desperate to date that they resort to blogging.    That includes being happy with your body.  If you are happy in a size 16-----???  Then be friggin happy!  Why listen to these people who point out every last flaw until you are miserable about yourself?  If you have someone who loves you insanely despite your dress size-- BE FRIGGIN HAPPY!!!!  and for the love of all that is holy.. enjoy being with someone who is not closed minded, egotistical, pessimistic and juvenile.

She-Ra, Cooking Warrior

Today started off to be a good day.  I woke up in utter silence.  My sons are at their dad's for the summer, so that meant I didn't have to wake up to anyone fighting, arguing or antagonizing.  And best of all... I got to sleep in until 8 am!   And I remembered that this week is the last week of physical therapy for my "Franken-foot" which made it even better!  I was looking forward to my appointment today, because I really wanted to address this swelling issue that's going on.  For anyone who doesn't know, I had ankle and calf surgery almost 3 months ago.  Fun times.

Since I had a few hours of silence, I decided to do my facebooking because let me tell ya.. Cafe World is serious bi'ness that should not be taken lightly.  I had stuff cooking in there!  Which made me think... I should drag out the stock pots, make some beef vegetable soup and do some canning.  Because I am She-Ra, Cooking Warrior.. Protector against famine and hunger.

Physical therapy kicked my butt, yet again.  And again, I was told to stay off my feet as much as possible and put ice on it.  Yeah, that's gonna happen.  I realize that my physique may look like I sit on my ass all day long, but I really don't.

I'm too old for this crap. And I got to have a wonderful convo along those lines with my best friends son about it...

It's so nice when even your 18 yr old "nephew" knows that your body is a clunker.

But, I still managed to drag out the stock pots and make the soup.  Come hell or high water, I was gonna do this! So, I broke out my crown and trusty sword ladle and got to work...  35 jars later, I ran out of canning lids.  Craaaaap.  That required me to return to the store to buy more lids, which required me to walk around... more.

I was going to make fajita's tonight, because of course, I am invincible!  On my way home from the store, I hit the Taco Bell drive-thru because cooking again = Hordack (if you wanna know who Hordack is, click here).  And I felt drained of my super powers.

So, here I am with forty jars of soup and a foot and ankle that is worthy of the nickname "Franken-foot".

Tomorrow.... I am canning spaghetti sauce.

Sweet Home Indiana

I went to Florida with Tim last week and had my trusty camera with me.  Only this time, I was in my "alter personality" form, and wasn't looking for the breath taking pictures.  Instead, I found humor and horror outside my little corn fed state of Indiana.

I think I am scared of most southerners.

So, we cross into Kentucky and suddenly I look over, see this sign (I wish to God I would've gotten a picture of it) and I had to do a double take because it said...

Seriously.. not even I can make that up.  I looked at Tim, said "What. The. Hell??" and he darn near spit his drink all over the windshield.  I'm not sure I wanna know what a "used" cow in Kentucky is exactly.

Anyhow, I really don't remember a whole lot of the rest of the trip to Florida.  Mostly because I was still thinking about the whole used cow thing.  It really concerned me.  But, while in Florida I did get to visit my brother who has affectionately nick-named me "Franken-foot" because my foot and ankle was so swollen from the ride down there.  He took us to Ft. Meyers beach and I fell in love... right up to the point where either the water or the food didn't agree with me.   Either way, I think my insides liquefied and evacuated my body.  On the plus side-- while in the restroom cursing the water, my brother did take a breath taking picture of our view on the beach.

Wednesday, we had to go to Miami.  I am a horrible passenger driver.  It took 2 hours to realize that my passenger brake does not work-- no matter how hard I pushed on the floor, no matter how much I wanted it to work-- it didn't. I also learned that Tim has road rage issues and I should probably hide the guns.   I would like to take this opportunity to say... YA'LL CAN'T DRIVE!!!!  When you are driving down the road, and see a BIG HONKIN BLUE SEMI... Do not believe your inner voice that says, "You can cut them off.. and you will win".

And it doesn't just stop at cutting off big semi's.  Ya'll cut each other off too!!

And then. there are those who either talking on their phone or decide they would rather sit in traffic because this is what happens

On our way back home, I saw this one..  I don't remember what state we were in when I saw this sign, but I had to take a picture of it.. Not because it was as disturbing as, "Used Cows For Sale", but because if I didn't remember that I was in the south, this reminded me of that fact.

It made me thankful that where I'm from.. we don't have stinkin creeks.

Now this one.. MADE MY DAY!  So, we are tooling through South Carolina and this is my view out the window..

First thing that hit me when I saw the shirt and towel flying around in the wind???  HERE I COME TO SAVE THE DAY!!!!!  Then,  I wonder why he is wearing his shirt like that? I mean, didn't he think ahead that maybe it would fly over his head and cover his face?  (Welcome to the inner workings of my mind)

Finally, I received a sign from God (I think it was in North Carolina)..  and at that point, I knew that I would be okay.

The rainbow is God's promise to us that He will never destroy the earth again by water.  I took this rainbow as a promise that He would never subject me to idiots in the south again.

Because That's What Friends Are For

Last night I was informed by an old friend that she peed my pants.  Now I am left here wondering Did she really pee my pants??  Is that where my one and only favorite pair, that actually fits went?? (I thought maybe the dryer ate them since it seems to eat my socks too)  Or is she referring to the saying, "Friendship is like peeing your pants.Everyone notices but only you feel the warmth.  Thanks for being the pee in my pants."

Either way I am friggin offended!!!

Reason #1- She decided to drive the 3 hours to my house, in the middle of the night and didn't wake me to actually say, "HEY FREAK!!! I'm here!!And STOLE my pants.. AND PEED THEM!!!

Reason #2-  She is comparing me to warm human waste.

Way to go Piff.. Now I am paranoid.  Like I really needed one more thing to add to my mountain of paranoia...  Does this make me look fat?? How's my hair??  Makeup?? Where are my pants??  Did someone break in and take them again??  Do I smell of urine??

Good thing I have an appointment with my shrink tomorrow.. I was starting to worry that I would have nothing to talk about.

I need a Gypsy ASAP!

I think that my 15 yr. old son, Nate,  has put a curse on me.  It is possible since I woke him up at 11:30 last night to ask him why he's not doing his classwork, and then to tell him that I may not allow him to go to his Semi-Formal tonight.  He's not a happy camper.

While I was putting clothes in the washer, my phone started ringing.  I heard it--but as usual, I assumed it was the usual bill collector or telemarketer.  (Which now that I think of it, I am on the Do Not Call Registry... Why are telemarketers calling me again?)  Anyway, I decided to check the Caller ID and message later, until I heard the school Principal explaining that there was a slight mishap with my 12 yr. old son, Jax.   Slight mishaps with a child who has a broken wrist is never a good thing.  So, I ran quickly gimped to get the phone and in doing so, I forgot to hurdle the vacuum cleaner that was sitting outside the laundry room door, which resulted in me kicking the crap out of it with my toe.........  on the foot that I had surgery on.............  I think it may be broken now.

I did manage to get to the phone in spite of not being able to see past the blinding pain.  Jax is fine, but does anyone know a gypsy who can remove my sons curse from me?

Desperately Seeking Red Dress

Last week, I walked past the full length mirror in my bedroom and I had to stop in my tracks, take two steps back and have a good look at myself.  My eyebrows are so unattended that before long, I will be able to carry on a conversation with them.  I was wearing my husbands t-shirt and shorts, because, I have neglected to buy myself  clothes that actually fit me.  And my hair... Well, let's just say that I don't "rock" the ponytail like I used to.  Gray hairs do not cooperate, nor do they like to stay in place when pulled back.  I basically looked like an escaped mental patient.  Once again,  I had put myself on the bottom of the "To Do" list.

The past few weeks months, (okay) years,  I have said that I am going to make more "me" time.  Well damn it, I am finally doing it!  After the initial horror of my mirror episode dissipated, I remembered that my mom bought a gift certificate for me to have four spa treatments where I faithfully have my hair cut every 6-8 months.  I whipped that sucker out and made an appointment for a much overdue and needed facial.

Then today, I was blessed enough to read the blog of Jenny (my hero)  who challenged women to find their red dress, and damn it,  I am going to do it!  So tonight, I bought this...

Before you tilt your head and question if I lost my mind over buying a lighter, look again....

And even better, it's RED!!!

Yep, it's pretty impractical, and silly, but it does serve a purpose, and it made me happy!

Not only am I going to find more "red dress(es)", AND buy them.. But, I am also going to help my best friend/sistah Sherry, find hers as well (She is on her own when it comes to buying it =D).  Sherry is coming to visit me for a week this summer, and we have made a pact to have a "red dress" week.  We are going to take pictures of all the silly, dumb, senseless and non-practical things that we plan to do during her visit and we are going to post them.  No airbrushing, no "skinny" editing... Just us, as we are.  Because we ARE beautiful and we definitely deserve it.

Teach your children well

When did it become kosher for kids to speak to adults as if they, themselves, are also adults?

If I ever.. ever ever ever caught one of my children speaking to an adult like crap, I would end their life as they know it.  Let's face it.. they just are not stupid enough to do something like that because #1.. they are too scared of me to do it and, #2. Because I have raised them better than that.  Which leads me to this... What the hell is wrong with these parents who allow it? And then they wonder why I don't like them, or their demon spawn children.  I have come to the conclusion that some people should have never been permitted to breed.

I am all for letting your kids express themselves... As long as it can be done in a respectful and non-destructive manner.  While you are letting your "precious prince/princess" express themselves around me.. I imagine myself stabbing you with a dull and rusty razor blade, purposely missing all your vital organs so that you die a slow and agonizing death.

I will also add.. I am extremely protective of my kids. If you piss on them, you will see a mama bear that you will wish you never rattled.   Perhaps I am a little too protective of them, but I at least give a crap.   But, because of it, all 3 of my kids know they can come to me with absolutely anything-- free of fear or judgment.  And that, to me, is completely awesome.

So... parents-- Teach your children well.. At least if you are going to subject them to me at any point in their life.

In Defense of the Little Red Flame

I am feeling rather controversial this morning, so let us begin.

The past few days I have received numerous invites to join a group page titled,

"1,000,000 to join, my dad john mellencamp will quit smoking".

I have questioned why several of my friends would send this invite to me, knowing that I, too, smoke. I do not think though, that they were trying to insinuate something to me when they did. That is not the point of this blog.

Believe it or not, smokers are very well aware of the health risks we take by smoking. How could we not know when we have had it CRAMMED down our throats the past 10+ years?

For the non-smokers who are reading this, do you know the health risks involved with alcoholic beverages? How about the health risks involved with high intakes of caffeine? I don't drink beer nor do I drink coffee. I think both of these things are vile and of the devil. Would you like for me to point those things out for you every time you want to have a beer or two? How about I start harping on you every time you purchase or make yourself a nice hot cup of java when I am in your presence? Do you think that possibly you would be annoyed with the complaining after a while?

Of course right now, alcohol and caffeine are perfectly acceptable. Fifteen years ago, smoking was perfectly acceptable too. Mark my words, one day, all of your little addictions will become taboo among society's standards. And when it happens, I am going to sit back, laugh and remind you of what you did to smokers rights. And yes, if we are of legal age to smoke, it is just as much our right to do so, as much as it is your right to have a cup or two of coffee.

I generally smoke more when I am stressed. It is my "coping mechanism". If you would like to increase my chances to stop smoking, quit stressing me out with your constant whining and complaining to me about my smoking. I do not complain that you don't smoke and try to force a cigarette in your mouth to light it. Quit forcing not smoking on me. I am happy the most when I smoke. When I have a fresh dose of nicotine, I like the general public more, and the general public likes me more. If you think that I am opinionated now.... LOL! Imagine what I am like when I try to quit smoking!

When a smoker decides to quit smoking for another person, the chances of them succeeding are slim. We will succeed at quitting when we do it for ourselves and when we are ready to quit.

As for me, I quit smoking each time I put a cigarette out.

Who wears short shorts??

I have swallowed my injured pride enough to write about my experience with the new Nair Shower Power product. I feel it is my duty to share my episode with every woman who is contemplating this product.

I saw the commercial and I think that drool literally spilled from the corner of my mouth.. Most women my age are like me.. Tired of shaving. Most of us started around age 11-13 because it was the cool thing to do. Nothing said "grown up" like walking into school around that age with newly shaven legs. It is a passage into woman-hood. By the time you are in your 30's and have a couple of kids... you are lucky to even get a shower each and every day.. Let alone shave your legs on a regular basis. We are sick of it and start to envy men on the fact that if they don't want to shave... they don't have to. However... if we walk around looking like Sasquatch.... We are eeewie.

So I went to my local Wal-Mart and saw that Nair has a Shower Power for sensitive skin.. JACKPOT!!! I read the label and hahaha!!! It is safe for bikini lines!! (Cue the Hallelujah Chorus!!!) I threw my gift from God into the cart and proudly paraded around while I finished my shopping.

Later on that evening, I decided I was going to try out my new found shaving wonder cure.... Tim watched me half laughing, but managed to talk to me through the smirks and muffled laughs. "Are you gonna do your bikini line??" I thought about it... read the tube again and thought.... "Eh.. why not.. Let's go all out!!" Mistake numero uno.. I thought about it. I finished foaming up my legs and ..... hmmm... this kinda burns a bit.....

I started to step in the shower and gasped..I think I saw my life flash before my eyes "Dear God... just kill me... take me right now... The pain!!!" Of course.. Tim saw the look on my face and laughed while asking if I was alright.... I just looked at him and replied with.. "BRING ON THE PAIN!!!" I want to explain ... it was not my legs that were on fire..

The words that I had read not even 3 minutes prior crossed my mind...

SAFE FOR BIKINI LINES

Pffffft... Whose??? Did they give that person an epidural??? Were they alive?? Were they given a local anesthetic first??

While I quickly washed up I realized something.. I had to rub the crap off.... I wanted to die right then and there. Tim was making a failed attempt to hide and muffle his chuckle still. I reached for the exfoliating sponge that it came with and gently wiped in a circular motion...........

OH THE HUMANITY!! In my mind I was talking like Ricky Bobby in Talledega Nights.. "Dear Lord Baby Jesus....."

This is something that should be used in terrorist interrogations!!! I finally finished up everything.. ran the hot water out in the process... You never realize just how grateful you are for not having anymore hot water until you receive a chemical burn in your most sensitive areas.

It did stay on while in the shower like the commercials say it will, but I walked like a bow legged cowboy for two days.

I will be sticking to the razor from now on.

New Moon... (More like let's see what we can screw up this time)

Let's discuss the "New Moon" movie coming out in November. For those of you who have been living under a rock for the past couple years, "New Moon" is the sequel to the "Twilight" novel.

Anyone who knows me at all, knows that I am a HUGE "Twilight" fan! Huge as in, I read all four books in a week, huge. And as soon as I get the first book back from a good friend of mine, I will read the series again and again. Anyhow, I was all geared up and patiently/anxiously waiting for the movie to come out. Even dragged my poor husband and one of our closest friends to see it. I bought the T-shirt, brushed up on the book a little bit.. I WAS READY.

I either should not have read the book first
or
I should not have watched the movie at all.

It was HORRIBLE! As I sat and watched Mutilation of Twilight, I was dumbfounded and constantly saying 'Whaaaaaaaaaaat?" or "That's not the way it happened!!!" I think Tim (my husband) was getting a bit frustrated with my rambling to myself during the movie. It was bad enough that I was looking for the nearest spork to gouge out my eyes with, but I subjected my poor husband and friend to it as well. I will never be able to make up for this evil act. I left the theater ranting and raving. I believe I even inflicted carpal tunnel on myself by texting all of my friends who read it, to warn them that it was dreadful and I was TICKED!!

I wanted to find out what other viewers thought of it.. Mistake #2. I read all of the postings on different blog sites about how people absolutely looooooved the movie and OMG it was so awesome!! And that they were going to go see it over and over again. While reading these people's reactions, I sat here with a blank look on my face and tilted my head thinking, "I wish I would not have paid the first $8.00 to see it.. and they are going to pay repeatedly to watch this slaughter-fest?"

I have questioned many times if they even read the same books that I did. Maybe I read some secret special version of the "Twilight" series that I am just not aware of. That has to be it!

In case you couldn't tell, I'm still a tad bit miffed about it all.

All of this venting brings me to this..

Tonight, one of my best friends/sistah sent me a text message telling me to go to YouTube and check out the trailer for the movie sequel "New Moon". So I did, in hopes that maybe there was some promise for this movie. *Le Sigh* The trailer has made me thankful for a little thing called Red Box movie rental. That way... if I have a lapse in good judgement and decide to watch the movie as punishment for things I have done wrong in my life , I will have only wasted $1.00 instead of $8.00.

Seriously? Can we please at least follow major points of the book? I understand that some things need to be tweaked here and there for time allowance and effect. But when you are changing and have a complete disregard for major highlights that are crucial to the entire story line (that is pertinent to the entire series), I must take a moment to question the sanity of the screen writers, directors and producers.

Please... for the love of all that is holy.... STOP THE MADNESS!!

Oh yay!!! I'm a bigot and racist now!!!! Fantastic!!! pfft

As some of you may or may not know.. I regular social sites often. First Myspace.. (which btw Tom.. YOUR SITE SUCKS NOW!!) and now Facebook. I can honestly say that I have enjoyed Facebook a million times better than I ever did Myspace. Anyhow. I post notes on there regularly and last night, I posted a note (ON MY PAGE mind you!) which was an email that I had gotten. I liked it, agreed with it.. and wanted to pass it along. It was an email about a letter that a school teacher wrote to President Obama.

So.. I tagged all of my friends who I thought might enjoy the read and WHAMMO!! I had some idiot, that I do not even know.... call me, my friends and my family a bigot and racist simply because I do not agree with Obama. He continued to tell me and my friends that the current situation the U.S is in now did not start with Obama (which I agree) but that we are all blaming him simply because he's black. Here... I will just show you what was said... I of course will remove the name out of respect of anonymity... Although I shouldn't.. but I am a bigger person here.

Idiot at 10:23pm May 19
"Now in five months that he has been in office we have blame him for everything the past prez and his father has done we are quick to scrutinized everything he is doing and not giving him a chance why because he is black. None of you scrutinize bush this hard his 5th month in office and he did nothing about 9/11 all the american people who died ... Read Morewhile he read books to children. the pay cuts you are takrn now are the result of what he did not Obama, Once again you bigots need to realize what you are saying. The word Bigot may be hard but because you are judging him on color and not networth. We are a country of net worth I served in the marines for 12 years and I served in iraq, I served in beruit and some of what was in between. What have you done for your country.. Think Think Think before you talk because half of you just listen to the press haters and not looking to the other side."

First of all... I am a proud American who supports our troops.. and would like to thank this man for serving our country and fighting to protect our freedoms. I know many of my friends who are reading this are probably falling out of their chairs that I am doing this. But pick your jaws up off the floor now and continue reading.

One of those freedoms though that he has fought to protect is: The 1st Amendment to the United States Bill of Rights which says that I have freedom of speech.. Whether spoken or written.

Seriously.. Just because I did not vote nor do I like the things that Obama wants to do or is doing... I'm automatically a racist? I am going to take a wild stab in the dark and say that this person did not vote for Bush.. (I'm most likely right in that guess) Is it because George Bush is white? Is it because he is from Texas? Would it be safe to assume that this man voted for Obama strictly because Obama is black? Let's face it.. there are many people who did just that. They didn't care what his stance was politically.. they only cared that they wanted to vote for the black man.. Which by the way you moronic imbociles.. Obama IS HALF WHITE TOO!!! But I guess that makes me equally racist against whites also because I did not vote for him.

NEVER once have I even remotely insinuated that these problems we are facing today started the day that Barack Hussein Obama became the 44th President of the U.S.A. The problems started when we started electing greedy ass politicians, who are only out for their best interests, as leaders and officials of our country. Our leaders are not representing us anymore. They are representing themselves and their own ideals. Let's face it ya'll.. at this point.. It's every man for him/herself.

After I gave it much thought last night after he made his immature, unsolicited, uneducated and poor grammatical comment on my page.. I had to sit down and seriously laugh at his ignorance. Mainly because the email that I posted was in no way racist!! LOL! It was a letter that a woman wrote talking about how much she disagreed with how he has handled things politically so far.

Despite that I don't agree with Obama politically ( Which.. when it was all said and done.. I didn't agree with Bush either. And I voted for the man!!) I respect the office of the President of the United States. I respect Obama as a man. But do I respect HIM because HE is the President?? No.. I don't. Respect is something that is earned not freely given because of a position or title that person holds. As of this point, Obama has done nothing to earn my respect as President.

It is amazing how the political race of 2008 became an election turned into a racial matter. Let's keep our eye on the ball here please. *eye roll*

If I think of anything more that I wish to add to this.. I will at a later time. Otherwise.. That is all I have to say on this subject.
